Job Title - Lead Safety Engineer
The Lead Safety Office will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the operational functions of Health, Safety and Security during the construction. Together with his team, he will enforce and promote site safety and project procedures and proper use of equipment, and continuously proposes recommendations for improvement to practices regarding health and safety, construction approach and quality control plans. The Lead QHSE engineer will report directly to the Resident Engineer to ensure maximum independence and fastest escalations in case of emergencies
Responsibilities
The Lead Safety Officer will observe the Contractor's proposed methods to ensure safety to the workforce, the public and other third parties.
He will specially monitor the site safety arrangements of the Contractor and assess the method statements submitted by him for safe systems of work.
He will also issue instructions to the Contractor where immediate safety measures are required and monitor the works for the safety of the public and other third parties.
He will report to the Resident Engineer on all safety and accident related issues for action and reporting to Client, as may be necessary. Assessment of Construction Work Sites; Risk & Hazard Assessment; Control of Green Production planning and inspection;
Emergency response planning and implementation; Fire extinguishing system planning and inspection; Subcontractor management;
Construction Environmental Monitoring & Analysis. Managing a team of Safety inspectors,
Reporting to the Resident Engineer, monitoring the Contractor to adhere to his HSE Plan, Conduct Safety audits.
Min. Years of Experience: 15 years – Need Airport experience.
