- Additionally, as a barista, you may be responsible for cash handling and operating the point-of-sale system, accurately processing transactions and maintaining cash drawer accuracy throughout your shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment, to ensure the utmost hygiene and safety.
- Your responsibilities extend to keeping an eye on coffee bean and supplies stock levels, promptly notifying the supervisor when restocking is needed to maintain uninterrupted service during peak times.
- Your role involves the continuous upkeep of a clean and organized workspace, encompassing coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment, to guarantee a hygienic and safe environment.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization in your workspace, covering coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment, to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Assume responsibility for all aspects of the coffee production.
- Be capable of completing and overseeing all daily operations of the coffee bar
- Oversee all barista employees, including training and continuing education, discipline and commendation.
- Management of baristas’ customer service, preparation and presentation of beverages and information, operational procedures, merchandising
- Contribute ideas as far as operational flow in achieving target sales and profitability
- Be “on-call” with the responsibility to respond to problems or fill-in when needed.
- Cultivate a professional, friendly, efficient work environment
- Lead barista meetings
- Proactive training staff to maintain and uphold all company and café policies.
- Actively work toward creating a superlative café experience through customer service, beverage preparation and presentation, in-store marketing, and upkeep of the physical space
- Ensure all projects and responsibilities are completed in a timely, efficient manner
- Handle customer complaints with professionalism and tact
- Manage break of barista and ensure the coffee bar is properly staffed
- Proactively solve problems and make decisions that benefit the café and company at large
